Le mappe sono generate automaticamente dal centro di calcolo di Sardegna Clima APS a partire dalle temperature e precipitazioni realmente misurate dalle centraline della rete amatoriale sarda. Se disponibili sono integrati nell’interpolazione anche i valori misurati dai MeteoTracker. Si tratta dunque di misure reali e non di stime basate su modelli matematici previsionali. Nell’interpolazione viene utilizzato un modello digitale del terreno (DEM) ad alta risoluzione per una stima più accurata nelle zone scoperte da misurazioni fisse.
